ALL ABOARD the Choo Choo & Tutu Express: Kids Birthday Party Celebration
We celebrated my two littles ones this past weekend and it was SO MUCH FUN! Reece turned 3 and Rylee Kate turned 1! We decided on a joint party since their birthdays are just 10 days apart. Reece has been TRAIN OBSESSED this past year and loves Thomas the train. Of course, about a week before his party he told us he wanted a paw patrol party, ha…! So we threw in a couple of the paw patrol pups in there! Rylee Kate is just my party girl, and was so happy to be around all the kids. We went with the theme: Choo Choo and Tutus! I loved putting this party together for them, and had so much fun planning a day celebrating both of them!
One thing I have always cherished is bringing people together and celebrating people I love. My two kids are my favorite little ones to celebrate! As much as I love throwing a good party, it’s never really about that. Life is so short and I always want to spend it making sure the people I’m close with feel all the love. Throwing a party all about them was so fun! I am a strong believer that God meant for us to find community and we were created to love, serve, encourage and celebrate one another. I look at a birthday party as an opportunity to come together and cherish time spent together. My family and friends mean so much to me, and it was so fun having so many of them here with us to celebrate a special month.
In this blog post, we'll take you on a journey through crafting a Choo-Choo and Tutu themed birthday party!
Let’s talk decorations….
I think balloons are such an EASY way to add some fun color and bring your theme to life! We went with these balloon arches from Amazon (linked here). I love how easy this kit made creating a balloon arch- it comes with everything you need! I then added in some Thomas/Ballet themed balloons from Etsy and fun themed table cloths. We used a tutu table cloth and steam team Thomas on two separate tables. I will link everything we used to bring this theme to life right here for you to shop! (linked here)
What did we do for food?
I kept it simple this year! We went with pizza and chic-fil-a.. a kid’s dream. I usually LOVE cooking, but I wanted to be able to focus on the kids and have fun in the moment. Plus, you usually won’t get too many complaints around chic-fil-a.
A local bakery (Sugar Drop) made Thomas the Tank Engine and ballet cookies. We loved how these turned out! They did a great job. If you’re in the Nashville area, I highly recommend them!
Entertainment:
We had a jump house from Boujee Jump House and balloons from Sweet Honey Balloons (local to the Nashville area). These are two great companies that we loved working with! I added in a fun coloring station with Thomas and princess coloring pages for all the kids.
We love celebrating people we love! This would be an adorable theme for a single or joint birthday! Check out our pinterest board for more birthday ideas: Linked here
As always, share your ideas and photos with us- we always love to see what you create!

Amber
